This week I was invited to give a presentation at Social Strategy Talk in Amsterdam. The theme was “bizarre stories” and I was amazed by the inspiring (and personal) stories that were shared by my fellow speakers.

I chose to tell 5 little anecdotes and then end with a worry. The five stories obviously had to to with my favorite topic “Living with or without the Internet”. Here are my slides:

If you are a returning reader of my blog then you probably knew these 4 stories allready. But the fifth one is the one that keeps me busy at night. The fact that the amount of information we produce and consume goes up and up… is inspiring for any online professional. But that at the same time the numbers of our National Productivity haven’t changed during the last 10 years should worry that very same professional.

For years I’ve been coming to TheNextWeb Conference, hosted by Boris, Patrick and Arjen. This year I was even invited to give a Pecha Kucha presentation. This is specific format where you’re only allowed 20 slides that will be shown for 20 seconds each.

This results in a short, snappy presentation of 6 minutes and forty seconds. I hope you’ll enjoy it:

I can’t believe it has allready been a year since I had my first TED-experience. Only a few days from now and the whole circus will start again. This year in Long Beach, instead of Monterey.

With well known speakers like Bill Gates and Tim Berners-Lee, but also with TED-favorites like Barry Schwartz and Seth Godin… this is just a fraction of the extraordinary line-up of speakers.

This is going to be a very special TED for me, because I was asked to do a talk about my research project during TED University!
