Refugee challenge

Do you have a unique idea that will improve the lives of millions of people? Here’s your opportunity to transform your idea into reality! Apply now to compete in Singularity University’s Global Impact Competitions (GIC) to win a seat at the Global Solutions Program (GSP) where you’ll be empowered with the tools, knowledge, skills and mindset for positively impacting 1 billion people.

The world is transforming at an accelerating pace. Technological development has brought tremendous improvements in both health and well-being for billions of people. However, there are still plenty of challenges.

Singularity University has identified 11 Global Grand Challenges – worldwide problems that are too big to ignore. At SingularityU The Netherlands we focus on Food, Water, Global Health and Disaster Resilience, which are all addressed in our Global Impact Competition: Help our Refugees.

Think about providing shelter, mobility, security, access to food, water and healthcare, access to information, education and entertainment, minimize waste, language barriers or reuniting refugees with their family.

The winner will join the Global Solutions Program (GSP), a 10-week educational program held each year from June through August at the Singularity University campus at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley.

The top three applicants will pitch their project ideas during the official SingularityU The Netherlands launch on 2 June 2016. Our jury will select one winner.

The winner secures a place at the 10-week Global Solutions Program at Singularity University (18 June – 28 August, 2016). The value of the prize is $50,000 and is fully covered by SingularityU The Netherlands.
